About
An independent guide to degree apprenticeships in Aotearoa.
This site is: a free, independent, public implementation of the four degree-apprenticeship documents published by ConCOVE Tūhura in 2025, plus a readiness self-assessment tool that translates those documents into a practical roadmap for tertiary providers.
This site is not: an accreditation body, a funding agency, or an official government service. The readiness tool is a self-assessment aid only; its output has no regulatory standing.
Who wrote the guides
The four documents were written by Brenden Mischewski, a policy analyst who has worked on vocational education, degree apprenticeships and workforce development in New Zealand for more than a decade. They were commissioned and published by ConCOVE Tūhura (the Construction and Infrastructure Centre of Vocational Excellence) as part of its degree-apprenticeship pilots programme.
Who built the site
The site and the self-assessment tool were built by Brenden Mischewski (Mischewski Consulting) and Eve Price of Solutionary. Eve shaped the site’s structure and audience doorways, reviewed and rewrote copy for clarity, and pushed hard on making the tool useful to people who aren’t already inside the tertiary system. Brenden built the application and hosts it.
